Founded in 2007 by Mary E. Fender, mary@framenation.net,  Frame Nation was born out of a desire for more forward thinking picture framing design in the Richmond area.
 















With participation in  framing competitions and creating unconventional frames using found objects, Frame Nation is always pursuing great design.
 By offering a hand  picked collection of frame styles, clients looking for the newest in picture framing now have a destination. 



  Picture frame mouldings from Europe and around the world are some of the
unique offerings, as well as welded steel frames and hardwoods from North America.

After extensive study and testing, Mary Fender
 became a



Master 
Certified Picture  Framer (MCPF) in   2007 and was   
commended (GCF)
by the Fine Art Trade Guild in 2002.


As a member of the Professional Picture framers Association (PPFA), Frame Nation has a commitment to  picture framing industry standards and continuing education. We do these things to express confidence in our ability to care for your art and collectibles. We are the professionals.

If, for some reason, you are unable to come to Frame Nation, please be sure to use a MCPF or GCF wherever you go. Professional certification by an international association is the best way to be sure your art will be treated with the appropriate framing treatment.

Whether you are framing an original Rembrandt etching, a grandchild’s first masterpiece, or a shadow box of your sport/college memories, we will share with you the recommended framing techniques while using the best design for your art.

We offer museum standard frame treatments as well as decorative framing, including all levels in between.
